The ZS EV’s air conditioner will come with a PM 2.5 filter to keep the in-car air quality in check. Other features include i-SMART connected car tech, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, cruise control, a multi-info display, steering-mounted audio control as well as keyless entry with push-button start.
The ZS EV is powered by an all-electric motor that develops 143PS and 353Nm. It draws power from a 44.2kWh battery pack and MG claims it’s capable of taking you 340km (real-world range) on a single charge. The battery pack also supports fast charging and is capable of juicing it up from zero to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

A portable charger will be supplied with each unit that can be plugged in any standard three-pin power socket. The company will also install a 7.4kW AC fast-charging station at the buyer’s preferred location that can top-off the battery pack in 6-8 hours. MG Motors will also install a network of fast chargers across the country and some superfast chargers at some of its dealerships. The company will also provide roadside charging assistance. Other features include a multi-function leather steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and a panoramic sunroof.
The company will start ZS sell with only five cities — Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore. The ZS EV will be sold initially cities namely Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad and the company has already started setting up EV chargers at its dealerships here in India. The India-spec MG ZS EV gets a higher capacity motor. The said 143hp electric motor draws power from a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery and in the Indian cycle, the range is 340km range.

The Chinese-owned British carmaker has not revealed the details for the powertrain yet. However, it is believed that the vehicle will be powered by a single electric motor that generates 148bhp and 350Nm to the front wheels. The e-SUV will be built in India to keep the cost in check except for the powertrain which will be imported from SAIC China.
