Toyota Corolla 2020 with gets exciting and great features Launch in India

The Corolla is a decent compact car. The base engine is uninspiring, and this Toyota doesn’t deliver the engaging driving experience that many rivals offer. Whichever Corolla you go with, there are plenty of features to make you feel like you’re getting the most out of your investment. If you’ve been turned off by the last round of Corollas, it may be time for you to come back.

Power comes on quickly from a stop and builds smoothly for sufficient midrange response. I’m not enthusiastic about continuously variable automatic transmissions, but the Corolla Hybrid’s doesn’t offend as much as others.

(Technically, the Corolla’s hybrid drivetrain doesn’t use a belt and pulleys, which is usually what’s at play with a CVT; Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive has continuously variable gear ratios and lacks the familiar shifting feel many CVTs now incorporate.) In the Corolla Hybrid, much of the usual CVT drone and numb responsiveness are inoffensive, making the car pretty quiet — much quieter than the Insight.

The front and rear are more expressive—without being exhaustive—and its body sides are more interesting. A standard 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment floats tablet-like above the climate controls. Along with a much-improved interior and better-looking exterior, the Corolla lineup adds a hybrid model for the first time. Both body styles are also now built on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA), which underpins the highly popular Toyota Camry and the even more popular Toyota RAV4.

Every Corolla comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (more on that in a bit), in-car WiFi, as well as Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa capability. We like the CarPlay feature because Toyota’s infotainment systems can often misbehave, though we didn’t have the chance to explore the Corolla’s system for bugs. Things like heated front seats, proximity key and push-button start, wireless smartphone charging and an upgraded JBL sound system are on offer in higher trims.
