The company will kick started pre-bookings at select dealerships from tomorrow for an amount of ₹ 21,000. While the prices will only be announced at the time of its launch, the Tata Nexon EV will certainly be costlier than its petrol/diesel siblings, so we expect it to be priced between ₹ 15 lakh- ₹ 17 lakh which will see it compete against the compact SUVs currently in the country.
The front-end now comes with sleek projector headlamps and a new grille. Inside, the 3-spoke steering wheel, coloured multi-info display and the 7-inch infotainment display are shared with the Altroz.
Tata has been developing their EV technology and it’s named as Ziptron. The battery of the SUV is IP67 certified and is liquid-cooled so that the battery does not heat up. According to Tata, the battery pack is dustproof, shockproof, all-weather and waterproof. The regular charging time for the battery is around 8 hours however, through the fast charger you can charge the battery from 0%-80% in just 60 minutes.
