Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Latest Updates
Husqvarna unveiled the 2020 Svartpilen 401 at the 2019 EICMA. For 2020, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 has been updated with new paint schemes and a new bolt-on subframe. Husqvarna unveiled only the Svartpilen 250 in India and it will be launched in February 2020. On the other hand, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is expected to be launched in the country only in 2021.
The Svartpilen 401 is scheduled to launch in the Indian market by 2020. This will be a good time for the brand to launch, because the new emission norms will force new products to offer a slew of features and up their desirability quotient – things that the Svartpilen was made to offer from Day 1.
KTM-owned, Swedish brand Husqvarna will also be making its India debut this week, as KTM India will showcase the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Husqvarna Vitipilen 401 along with the aforementioned models.
Test mules of both bikes have been spotted on the outskirts of Pune several times over the past months and in fact there is a lot of excitement across the country regarding impending launch of both Husqvarna motorcycles. The Svartpilen 401 and Vitipilen 401 both use underpinnings from KTM’s 390 platform though they differ slightly in intent and positioning.
Braking hardware comprises a 320 mm disc with a four-piston radial fixed calliper and a 230 mm rotor with a single-piston floating calliper at the front and back respectively. The anchoring setup is governed by a Bosch 9MB dual-channel ABS.
Along with the engine, the suspension and braking setup is similar too. The Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 get 142 mm front and 150 mm rear suspension travel along with inverted forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back for adequate shock absorption.
