Emflux One Review
Its first offering is the Emflux Model One, a fully-faired electric superbike that can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3 seconds and hit a top speed of 200kmph.
It was an unfortunate accident which compelled him to take time off work, that gave Varun time to gauge the idea of breaking into the electric vehicle sector and follow through on his dreams of making superbikes.
The Emflux One packs a liquid-cooled, 60 kW AC induction motor capable of putting out 53 kW (around 70 bhp) of maximum power from the controller. The power source is a Samsung lithium-ion 9.7 kWh battery, which takes just over half an hour to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
The fully-charged battery is said to have a range of 200 km on a single charge. The Emflux One has a long list of features, including a 6.8-inch TFT instrument panel with a built-in GPS navigation system, Bluetooth, wi-fi, real-time vehicle diagnostics and a dedicated mobile app for remote customization and bike-to-bike connectivity. The latter may take a bit longer and can be expected by 2021.
According to the company, all the components of its ONE, including Mechanical, Electrical and Design are manufactured at the Bengaluru facility which is causing the delay in the final product. Lack of investments is also an add-on that is slowing down ONE’s development. The company is so far able to raise 4.65 crores from different entrepreneurs which are still not sufficient for a start-up to build a superbike from scratch.
Its power source is a Samsung lithium-ion 9.7 kWh battery pack that can be charged in a matter of 30 minutes up to 80 percent. The fully charged battery will offer a range of 200 kms while top speed will stand at 200 kmph.
Electric vehicles are not new in the market. In advanced nations like the US, Tesla is already manufacturing and selling popular Tesla electric cars. There are also other popular auto-makers who have been manufacturing electric cars. Electric cars do have a strong presence today.
